Hi,
I have onboard a 2.70m inflatable dinghy because my family are 2 adults and 4 kids.
It's feasible to travel with the dinghy in the bow if you use a genoa instead of the self-tacking jib.
A 2.50m dinghy should work fine in general and you still can use the self-tacking jib.
