Hi

Good to hear you have finally cleared the problem.

A General Reset seems to be the solution to many of these random instrument fault issues.

Thank you and best regards

Couldn't you just post the reset method for all to see?
Thanks,
Mark

First thing to try is leaving the chart plotter off and switching everything else on. In my case, the network self discovery process completed without the plotter and the instruments found a new way to configure the sources of data.

Then when the plotter was eventually turned on (30) minutes later, it fitted in without reconfiguring the sources, and the previously large number of RX errors did not reappear.

If this doesn't work, the reset process is in the simnet installation manual, I will try and copy the relevant bits when I have access to a PC and some time

OK. Thanks.

I know the full reset procedure, but the idea of letting the rest of the system reconfigure with the NSS12 turned off, is new to me.

I will try it when I am next on the boat.
