I thought this was interesting.  The Aluminium mast on the left is mine, the Aluminium mast on the right is the 445, and the carbon mast is the 545.  Far less rake on the fancy mast, is that normal and why would it be so?

no idea about the masts, but it's nice to see such a concentration of Hanse!

no one likes being overtaken.

OK so this is a 470e and we are only 385, but even so!

still it took them a while.

in fact 1 hour and 22 minutes, we left just before them from Yalikavak, and they passed us just before turgetreis marina.

and then, as we approached our chosen anchorage we picked up a boat name on AIS 'Five4Five', so i suppose it had to be a Hanse, and here she is

Lovely anchorage called Pabuc, 36 deg 58.68 min N 27 deg 34.37 min E

I think Ive seen more Hanses this year than ever, is it because there are fewer charter boats around and so the owner Hanses are a higher proportion of the total??

We came into Marmaris the other day and we were three abreast

Its a shame that hire fleets don't offer quality boats for charter very often but if they did you would see various size Hanse in fleets around the areas you are sailing.

Keep the pics coming its always good to see them of a variety of sailing grounds.

Cheers,

Rob
