By the way, you can route the cable without seeing it the saloon. Go between the deck and headliner to the removable panels around the mast support post. You can remove the light over the sink to help fish the cable out from the void.

Drill a hole in the mast support pole above the ceiling panel, and another below the floor, and run the cable down inside the pole, fish it out at the bottom and then run under the floor to the battery box, we fitted our regulator above the batteruies behind the cushions for the seats.

This panel comes with a little protection unit that makes a convenient connector between the wire supplied with the panel and the longer one you need to reach the regulator, and it lives in the roof void close to the light we removed to do the fishing for cables ( using a reshape metal coat hanger )

we motored into the south side of Gulluk Bay yesterday, past some of the many fish farms placed here.  they are well marked and most transmit on AIS.

the coast and islands are quite green with small trees, and there are many birds here.

Our anchorage last night was on the south side of Salih Adasi, there is a bit of debris on the beaches from the old fish farms, but these have now been moved into deeper water, leaving a considerable area suitable for yachts.

Superb scenery makes me envious, especially as the weather has changed in UK and winter has arrived.
Cheers,
