Topic: Replacing LED LightsPosted: 08 June 2012 at 22:43 |

Hi All
Samuel made a topic about changing the cabin lights to LED. Google shows this as http://www.myhanse.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=6646&title=led-light-replacement But the topic is gone. (took me almost an hour the realize that the topic was gone/deleted. Did a lot of searching) Somebody replied about an online shop in Denmark, but at an .com address. Anyone who remember the name of the shop? /H8jer |

Hi to both of you.
Samuel, you are not the only one going insane. Yesterday I used 6 x 10 watt lights at one time, and thought it was time to order some LED lights. But I could not find the topic which Samuel made. Searched the forum in any way possible. Prch thx for the link. Hope the forum is stable.

Hi
It looks like ledforever.com is cheaper, and you can use a visacard. I have ordered the by PRCH recommended LED bulbs. four G4-12SMD-5050 3000K (At Ledforever.com they are called NTCWG4LT-BP) five G4 LED-LT 2800K (At Ledforever.com they are called NTCG4LE) A total cost of 50 Euro to have all lights replaced to LED. When goggling the prices of the bulbs, Ledforever.com is 50% cheaper for the exact same bulbs.

Thanks for that. I I am now just waiting for my led's to arrive, bought from Ultra LED, but your suggestion is much cheaper. I bought one LED tho, to trial, that can be switched from red to white and back agiain, so i can switch over to red for night sailing just to see if this is any good.

Hi all
When you install the LED's please remember that the connecting pins are a little thinner than the ones on the regular halogen bulps. In order to fix the LED properly I recommend that you bend the pins a little bit away from each other (careful!!) in order to have sufficient tension in the socket. Happy sailing - saving energy ![]() Edited by PRCH - 15 June 2012 at 09:51 |
