Today I went up with a Loose gauge.

Assuming the backstay has got a diameter of 8mm you have to pull hard to reach 20% of the breaking strenght. But again assuming it is 8mm and pulling untill the Loose gauge reeds almost 20% the mast looks really good with nice prebend.

Does anyone know how tight the backstay normally has te be? Say 10% or so?

And can anyone confirm the diameter of 8mm of the backstay?

Frank
