Well, Frank, then I recommend keeping Macadama
Another recommendation would be to consult Gran Segel in Limhamn (it's just a few NM down the coast from your place). They have a design for a self tacking jib called "Glider" made of their GCLX cruising laminate. I have tried this one out on a 341 belonging to another member of this forum (a clubmate of mine here in Copenhagen). It is not the cheapest solution, but it really has an excellent shape / cut and the guys in Limhamn are apparently doing a careful job throughout the whole process. I chose an Elvstrøm Epex jib myself (2012) which was pretty expensive. I works fine, but if I were to do it again, I might consider the Glider from Gran Segel. Ole, |
