Grazie anticipatamente

I have a Hanse 371 of december 2003 equipped with shipyard optional overthrowable screw propeller.
I have always been experiencing speed throubles when sailing with engine: max 6.3 kn with clean bottom (hull) at 3200 rpm (yanmar 29 CV engine)

Does anybody know who is the propeller builder ? Any suggestion before proceeding to substitute it ?

thanks in advance for your advises

I have a Yanmar 55 on my 430,and I dont think you should be going at 3200!!
61/2k on a 37 does not seem too bad.

I have a 370 with a 3 blade flex-o-fold prop. and the 29hp motor.

if i give full power with about 3600 rpm it is possible to reach 7.7 kn-7.8kn without any wind and waves.

I think with 3200 rpm it is no problem to go over 7kn easy. i will check it this weekend.

If i motor with about 2.600 -2.800 rpm i think it will go at about 6.5 kn

Hmmm.... I have a 370 with a 3 blade flex-o-fold prop with a 39 hp motor (3JH4). My MAX speed with throttle fuel open is 6.5 SOG at 3200 rpm. Reading this post, I may want to get a Yanmar mechanic and see where my extra 10 hp is going.. Unhappy No problem using the extra fuel though...

This sounds not good lukemi. 6.5 kn with a 40hp at full power. This cannot be true. There must be something wrong, or did you forget to antifoul your boat ? Confused

In teresting is that my 3ym30 has a max rpm of 3600. and that is what i get i i give full power, nothing more.

The 3JH4 has a max rpm of 3000, why do you reach 3200 rpm???? this is 200 rpm more than it should

Blake, thanks for the reply. Yea, I really have to push the throttle to get that last 200 rpm. I usually do not go above 3000 (usually cruse at ~2600). In spring with a clean bottom I maybe got 7 to 7.2  knots best case. One thing for sure, I have never got to 7.8 in best of conditions (except by sail). Maybe this is an advantage for the 3YM30 and higher RPM capabilities.

my engine also reaches 3200 rpm
This can be a difference in the meter witch shows the rpm or some other thing .
My speed max is 8.3-8-4 knots at full power with my 40 hp.
Wenn speed is not reached you can check the coupling plates or the oil evel off the coupling .. it might slip.
