On my last Hanse 341 I had the same engine and the same Saildrive. The prop was also a Flex-O-Fold, but I think with other dimensions. Full speed I had app 4200 rpm and Speed max 7,5 knots.

On my recent 370 the prop dimension seems to be better.

With my 311, I can make 3200rpm, 7-6.9knts, 3 blade folding prop and a Volvo Penta with 19hp.

I'd just try a Variprofile two blades fitted on a 370 by Nautilus in Rome it seems to be working very weel, in going to fit it on my 400 wich is on is way from Greifswald.

I have plotted my 371/Yanmar 29hp speed / revs in calm conditions, heavy boat  with a clean hull:
- 6 knots at 2500 rpm
- 7 knots at 3200 rpm
- 7.3 at 3600

see the graph at:

I have a 371 with Yanmar 39Hp. With 3 blade Flexofold 17"/11" I reach about 3400rpm full thottle, that is too high for this motor. According to Yanmar dealer I could use a Flexofold 18"/12" but with this propeller is a little bit too big and it would be just a little bit hard work for the 3JH4. I do maximum about 8 knots on the GPS.
Cruising speed I do 6.5-7.2 knots, never more than 90% of maximum rpm.
I think the maximum rpm is highly depending in propeller size an workload.

Hi Sergio,

our 371 goes 7,5 kn with Volvo 2030 (29hp) and a 2 blade folded propeller at 3600 u/min (nearly no wind, small waves).
Before we had a Beneteau with Yanmar 3YM (21hp). The Yanmar is specified with 3650 U/min max. (at 10% of engine hours).
Perhaps your Yanmar has a problem. Check the max. U/min in the neutral gear position. Is the engine able to reach very quickly 3650 U/min?
If yes, it seem that your propeller has to much load for the engine (too big or too much pitch). Ask at Hanse-Yachts after sales support or Yanmar for the correct propeller data and compare.

Best regards,
Rainer

Ciao e buon vento
Petro
