Funny this comes up now. I am in the process of getting them custom made from stainless steal. Not sure of cost but being able to sheet the asym (120 sqm) where you like as opposed to some spot like a cleat or pushpit rail is important during races is important to me. I guess I have been lucky I have used these for the past 5 years and experienced no failure. I did not know how weak they were.
If any one wants to join me I figure the more that are made cost will reduce. |

having your blocks in a fixed place is fine and normal, you should be using a barber hauler to adjust the position of the pull on the sheet, this can use the gunnel rail attachment points no problem as loads are low.

Had them made locally, cheaper than Pfieffer. Used stainless steel so heavier but they did great job and now I do not need to worry.
Will try to takes pictures. |
