    Posted: 05 April 2016 at 18:11
Hi

I am searching for colour code for a Hanse 371 from 2002:
* white hull
* navy blue water line
* white innerliner

I have been told that for a Hanse 342 2005 is it white hull RAL 9003, blue waterline RAL 5011 and the white innerline innerliner RAL 9001.
Thought that a Hanse 371 from 2002 should have the same colour codes but a friend said that Hanse yachts before 2005 do have some white yellow colour.... could that be the same color code but the sun might have aged the older yachts.

Anyone out there knowing what Hanse used in 2002 ?

Tried to find info or after sail contact details on www.hanseyachts.com but without any success, lot of text by not what I was looking for.

To some extent am I surprised/impressed, I did use the web page for seeking contact with Hanse and within 24 hours were I contacted by the domestic retailer in Sweden.Clap

Even in the customer friendly spirit the Swedish retailer could not confirm the gelcoat colour code so I am dependent on this great forum.

My Hanse 341 from 2003 uses RAL 9001.

http://www.ecfibreglasssupplies.co.uk/c-726-polyester-gel-coat-coloured-70-colours-available.aspx

gives you a colour chart, though it is obviously not perfect.  It makes 9001 look very cream, but it does not look like that on the yacht.  If you compare the hull colour on a Hanse to say a Jeanneau then you may see if they are that much whiter.

Guess who I got the info from?  Our friendly UK agents of course!

My Hanse 341 also from 2003 uses RAL 9001 gel colour for the deck and RAL5011 as the Dark Blue Hull colour. My friendly Hanse UK dealer supplied the data and a small quantity of the appropriate coloured gel and I would suggest this is your first contact as they should have a record of the specific colour used on your yacht.

The original gel colour will have faded over time, so although you have the correct colour codes you may need to get a match done to ensure it blends with the original finish.

The older "white" Hanse are all RAL 9001 outside and also inside. the newer Hanses are only inside RAL 9001

Iemand,

Whilst your statement above “The older "white" Hanse are all RAL 9001 outside and also inside. the newer Hanses are only inside RAL 9001” is very likely true, every owner needs to check with their Hanse dealer to ensure this is correct for their particular yacht. Also even on white a colour match may only be achieved if an aftermarket professional GRP gel supplier is consulted, as even slight fading alters the colour.

Thanks for your help.

Please remember that driving on left side of the road and having an excellent retailer isn't always applicable outside UK:-)

The Swedish retailer were kind but didn't clarify the RAL colour codes for me as you guys did in this thread.

Not a problem, as we are all in the same boat if you will excuse the pun. I have noticed the quality of feedback and help from dealers does vary a lot so this forum does help with the passing on of data to assist fellow Hanse owners. You never know when it may be your turn to repay the favor.
Good luck with getting your gel colour match perfect.

Just to give you some confidence, the white does not appear to fade, as you cannot see the repairs on our yacht, unless you really know where to look and actually I cannot even see a couple of them.

Perhaps it is because the sun is not too strong in Scotland?
