Hi all,

I am ordering a gennaker for my 375.  I am wondering what luff length, max hoist, B measurement I should be specifying with the order.  Does anyone have experience with this?

Got a genny on our 385 with 15.5m luff length. Works great. abt 105 sqm total. Its a cheap one.

Its on a Harken furler, and I able to singlehand this from cockpit. Only had issues when trying to tack without rolling it in, which sometimes works, but probably not recommended.

We have a non-factory halyard fitted about 30cm above the forestay. Measured length A-B (Halyard to anchor roller fitting is 1573).  In comparison, our code-0 sail has a luff of 14.6m, but is fitted straight along the torsion wire. A genny is obviously more rounded in the luff, and generally a more dynamic and forgiving setup with respect to measurements.

In hindsight, would have chosen a smaller sqm, 105 is very serious and a bit difficult to manage at times, but on the other hand, in very light winds, and obviously downwind, this has given us some serious milage that would otherwise have been on diesel.
