Hi All
My Code 0 have the following dimensions: ASL 16,60 m ASMW 5,20 m ASF 8 m. The sail area is 75,2 m2, and is made by Quantum and is called CZ 15, Fusion Radial Cut. (Sandwich layer: Taffeta, X-ply in kevlar, mylarfilm) It is fittet on a KA code 0 furler with a torsions rope. We use the sail a lot, for both crusing and racing, and is so easy to handle. PS Sorry for the slow respons. BR Jesper

We have code zero type sale on a roller 76sq mts, luffs 17.38, leech 15.8, foot 7, half width 5.28 absolutely great for both cruising and racing - easily hoisted when short handed and means that we have a good off wind sail but keep all the advantages of the self tacking jib. Also an asymmetric spinnaker of 111sq meters - Luff 57ft Leech 52ft Foot 26.22ft with snuffer - another good sail.

Seems to me that a Code 0, a good self-tacker and an asymetric (or symetric) spinnaker are the main sails a 400 needs in a good range of winds and at most angles. With the right systems they can all be easily handled.
For racing this provides only the penalty for the jib and largest spinnaker. Thanks for the feedback. |

Hi from down south.
I have access to an almost new asymmetrical spinnaker that is a good price. however its measurements seem to fall in between the mast head and fractional sizes. Luff - 17.6, Leach- 16 and foot 8.1. Does anyone have any thoughts as to whether this would be any good. I have considered fitting an adjustable block off the mast rings to allow it to be varied between a fractional hoist and being able to let it fly higher toward the mast head. Any useful thoughts would be eagerly received. Cheers Johnno
