Just been to the Southampton boatshow. The 385 looks great, but there is no obvious space for a second set of winches. Hanse are going to change the mould to rectify this. Has anyone seen the new look shape with secondary winches? If so, do they obstruct moving forwards from the cockpit?

Or how to manage a genoa? There is no genoa winches or places for them?

Hi Folks,
I am pleased to let you know that the deck mould only needs to change very slightly to allow the mounting of gennaker/secondary winches and will not restrict the movement forward but a little reconfiguring of the sprayhood is.
Either way a great solution for a great model.
Cheers
Phil

We have ratchet blocks for our gennaker, it's fine in light winds and the jib is rolled away most of the time anyway, no secondary winches, not missing them....
