Hi all !
This year, we got a new main sail to replace the original North Sail main sail. We are sailing full time in the Med since early May (you can follow us here), so we wanted a new sail we could rely on. For our cruising, we got a Vectron main sail, cross-cut with 3 reefs. - Vectron cloth from DP, because it is stronger that Dacron, and keeps its shape much better than Hydranet. - Cross-cut, because it holds better (in time) when sailing reefed. Tri-radial cuts are designed to sail fully up. With kids on board, we tend to sail with reefs quite often - 3 reefs... because 2 is not enough. With 30 knots you really want a 3rd reef. - Full-batten, 5 battens, progressive battens. The first month as been all "code 0 and spinnaker", then this last month as been all "2 reefs in the main". We are quite happy to have a 3rd reef ready, just in case. So far, we are really happy with this new sail. Unfortunately, we were not able to take the old main sail with us, as a spare sail). So, here is the important part of this topic: We are willing to give away our old North Sails main sail (dacron, cross-cut, full-batten, 5 battens. It has just been serviced last winter and it has 3 reefs. It is waiting for you in the south of France at our sailmaker's workshop, just contact me for more details. All the best, nibheis |

Hello!
Yes, the sail is still available! Sorry for the delay, we were sailing between Morocco and Canaries Islands :-) Note: It has no cars (I am using them on our new sail) - so you would need to install new cars for your mast or mast rail. Also, if you want the sail to be shipped (which is possible), I suppose that it is better not to have the battens sent (they are long, and shipping would cost more than they are worth). Best regards, nibheis |

I guess it would be good for the next season so I would really like to take it. Shall I contact the sailmaker re shipping to our base in Greece?
Your offer is really much appreciated. Roger Terry

Hi,
Could you please send me your contact information in a PM (both addresses: for delivery and for billing)? I'll then check with the sail maker to organise this. He will most probably charge something for packaging and handling the sail. Best regards, nibheis |
