Hi,

In my Hanse 311/80 I have a Waeco Coldmachine 55 cooling unit, the build in one. During the past warm weeks I noticed that the fan and compressor switched on and off constantly. I called a mechanic and after inspection he told me that the o-rings were leacking, so the gas pressure in the system might be to low. O-rings changed, vacumed the system and filled it with gas again. So far so good. The point is the power consumption. I don't manage to have it running for one night on the battery (70Ah) and since I'm not always near 220volt (it's a sailing boat....) most of the time, the collunit is switched of.

Do you recognize this issue and how did you solve it? Solar unit on deck? Wind generator?

Looking forward to your reaction.

Thanks,
Gregor
