Hi Mark     Yes we have a pole which is just under 'J' measurement that we use on a 130% genoa. We have a code zero we do not pole out but I suppose we could. Our 531 is set up for my wife and myself to handle under all conditions ,so if we take a crew we feel like it is luxury sailing But that is what we love about our 531   Cheers   John

hey John,  your capabilities look fine 2 me.

I have never polled out a floppy sail either, we used to pop the sheet under the midship mooring cleat when goose-winged with the asymmetric kite,  and that worked ok,  polled out our 135 genoa on downwind legs too, so i'm trying to work out what to do on the 385 with its tiny genoa when we want to go as fast as possible.

Australia is BIG so where are u to the closest capital?
