Hi folks,
Thought I would share some information on an update we have just completed on Onelife. We wanted to improve the easy of raising and lowering the main sail and following the information from a discusion on the 341/342 forum (post link below) decided to try the Rutgerson battcars. http://www.myhanse.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4947&title=rutgerson-battcar-152611-fitting-mast-profil-i330 We have replaced the single slide on the headboard with two RU-1526-11 (Big Wheels), the batten cars have been replaced with four RU-1531-11-05 (10mm stud with Big Wheels) the batten recepticles on the sail have been replaced with RU-1580 (Batten size is 30mm) all of the intermediate slides are unchanged. Fitting was straight forward and we completed the work with the sail still on the boat. First outing on Saturday was promissing, there was an improvement in raising the main and it dropped most of the way down unaided when we lowered it. Hope you find this of use, Regards Paul |

Hi.
I just put on a batcarsystem from Harken on my hanse 320. I can now raise my main to the top with only one hand and it falls down almoast too fast. /Henrik |

Hi Henrik,
I would be grateful if you would give me the full details of your batcarsystem from Harken installation, as I want to do this for next season for 'Discovery', my Hanse 320. Photo would be appreciated also! Thanks and regards, John Edited by JohnA - 02 September 2013 at 22:37 |

I also have the batcar system which came with the FCL sails on my Hanse 345.
The main sail comes down in less than 10 secs!

Hi Henrik,
The video looks brilliant and the Rutgerson battcars performed about the same, perhaps I was too critical about the initial performance. Thanks for your feedback. Cheers Paul |

Thanks Henrik. A very good before and after video.
Do you have a detail of the Harken Part Number so that I can look it up in the UK? Regards, John Edited by JohnA - 06 September 2013 at 10:54 |
