Inspection cover in my boat's freshwater tank leaks when overfilling the tank as I wrote earlier in another thread. I have not repaired it because of the location of it. I think that the leak has begun during water filling because the air hose is blocked by water that is casued because the hose does not go straight up but travels up/down on it's way to the beathing piece skrewed to hull. This piece I have relocated to anchor windlass compartment in bow, where to the air hose it is possible to draw stright up in H400. Inspection cover does not leak if I watch out and leave 2 cm empty from top of the tank.

@Kari, my boat doesn't have grooves to shed the water. It has normal bronze through hulls and pipes connected to them. The other end should be connected via a T-junction to the shower through hulls so that the rain water empties in the sea. But they forgot both the T's and connecting the pipes. It took us four years to find why we get a few buckets of water in the bilge each time it rained or we washed the boat.

I believe the only one would be the anchor locker drain. That can be accessed thru the inspection hacth in front cabin. It sounds your water system works perfectly. I would check still the drain in the heads, especially if you use the shower. Then the hose and connections between the fresh water tank and the water pump. Two years ago I forgot the tighten the water tank inspection hacth when the boat was launched for the season. That was noticed some time later and only after a passage in rough weather when little water ended up in the bilge. Worth checking definately... - Perttu |

Take a look to this old thread, and Peter-Blake's post. Could it be that simple?
