Afternoon,
First post... We, as in my wife and I, are mowing to Sweden in about 6 weeks, where we plan on living and buying a sailboat. We had a Pearson 28 which we sailed on Leach Lake in Minnesota (US) for 5 seasons. We are excited to move up to a slightly newer and larger boat, something in the 32-36 foot range. We like the Hanse brand, but I very much would like to find a boat with a shaft drive, rather than s-drive. Did Hanse build any models in the 32-36 foot range after 1990 or so? If I can find a nice one with a shaft drive and Yanmar engine, I would be all over it. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year, Emil

Sorry Emil,
almost all of the European quality serial boat builders in this size and age range are using saildrive propulsion systems. I think the last one with shaft was the Jeanneau Sunlight form 1990. Saildirve is quieter and there are 100.000's of it operating without any Problems. Why do you want to have an outdated system ? |
