Nice boat!! Congratulations.....
After testing the Hempel teak oil on my boat for a year I can only say that I have completely forgotten that the teak can be grey...My last application was 5,5 months ago...after endless rains, salty storms, dust, snow and dirty shoes the teak is still honey yellow and looks amazing...not too much work for such a reward...

Obviously mouldy green teak would look all wrong
But doesn't shiny teak look a little " false"?

It doesn't look false Samuel...I never polish the teak and the wood texture is visible even after double oil application...it's only semi-gloss and reflects nicely...

I am very pleased with Semco teak treatment which I apply twice a year.

Thank you for your nice comments and your advice about the teak. I have on my previous boats tried a number of different teak treatments and they have all worked for a while. However, when they have started fading, the teak has been left with an uneven and unpleasant color. Some of them also have acidic which have harmed the teak.

From the postings I understand that there may now be better teak treatments on the marked. I will investigate this further.

Cheers

On one of the pictures I see a ventilation dorade on the hath mounted.
Is this standard now? and is it a solar or electric one?

I checked on the specification for the vent and I think it is manual only. I do not think this is standard but came as a part of a package deal. Since the boat is based in Norway no need for an AC but the diesel heater has a fresh air function which provides plenty of outside air for cooling no those (that?) "hot" scandinavian summer days :-D.

Windsufer, do you have pictures of your treated teak deck?

Cheers

It is really well maintained ship. Thanks for sharing pics. This cruise ship looks so beautiful. Please also share how you inspect the boat if you can. This would be helpful for other people to maintain their boats.
