Anyone have any ideas,
keeps switching off when wet!!
Anyone got an old one they want to get rid of. The B&G Zeus looks great but outside my current budget.

3 things I have done this season, with odd electronic problems.

1. check all connections buried in boat, had a few corrosion problems.
2. leave tronics on for a few days, winter damp needed drying out; but maybe you keep them going in the winter.
3. bought an iPad as back up,

Good luck and happy sailing

Hello Silversailor,
We use Navionics HD for IPad it is very use friendly and the Sonar charts are very detailed. I do not know for the US waters charts but the purchase price for the whole Med is arround 50 euro and 25 euro to renew for one year.
They constant update there charts for free.
You can have a free upload try out for 30 days in the App store.

You need an ipad with 3G/4G. The wifi-only-models do not have a GPS receiver.
