Hi

I have seen other posts in this forum from real Simrad IS12 experts, so hope somebody can give me a hint to how to proceed from here J
I have just installed my new Simrad IS12 Speed/log with the new transducer, so far so good.
But after turning on the power, the display pending up and down around 5 knots, no steady reading, and approximately 5 knots with the impeller not turning?

To me it looks like some interference somehow, but everything else onboard is turned off and disconnected to eliminate this. Without any effect. The display and transducer is connected with the original cable, so no changes in the cable impedance.

Do anybody have any experience like this, and maybe an idea to how this can be fixed?

Thanks in advance

/Kristoffer Møller

Hi, I Guess you have installed the IS12 combi-instrument. My boat has a cable from the transducer with 4 seperate cables that need to be mounted individually behind the instrument. (I got info from another post here, that the white and brown cable are for the temperature measurement). Have you checked carefully that you have not switched or misplaced any of these cables?
