Hi Richard,

Unless I have misunderstood this I think the point being made is that this isn't a forum, but a thread and as such unless people keep leaving comments it will move down the list until it becomes difficult to locate.

Hello all.

If you're interested, I've put together a basic web site for Rubato.

http://members.shaw.ca/rubatoracing - http://members.shaw.ca/rubatoracing

Mostly race oriented at this point. Will let you know when I do some additions to it later on. Would like to add some maps and pics of the west coast cruising area...

Cheers, Steve

Hi Rubato.
great site !!

It looks like (on the picture where you have the red J-boat behind) that there is not much wind. ?? If so it seems to me that both sails are tensioned too much. The wrinkels in the bottom of the main sail tells me you have too much tension on boom outhaul. Furthermore, if you lighten the head sail downhaul, so there will become some wrinkels from the head sail down the forestay, you will be able to point higher and increase speed. It helps on our 342.

Steen, I can't remember the conditions now but if it was typical Vancouver weather it was fluctuating both in speed and direction. :) Thanks for the tips

Steve, that's a nice web site you've got there! Apart from the boat being good-looking, so does the design of the site. Thanks for sharing!

Here is Mokshas blog site.  Currently we are on a journey up the east coast of Australia from Sydney to the Whitsunday Islands (Great Barrier Reef) and return on our 540.  My kids (hardly kids at 19 and 21) have created a blog of the journey.  If anyone is interested it can be seen at
