If I am connected to shore power in port and the water heater is running, I noticed that the engine is warmed by the cooling circuit. The heated water circulates through the engine so. Is this normal?

Yes, but i know there was a thread about it  along time ago. I do not think it will be a problem for the motor as it is a common situation.
