Simon,
I know you are poss. Going up coast of Ireland..
For information...

just so you can pass it around, Arklow has had some serious silting near the entrance to the marina and pontoon, there is a dredger due to start in next ten days or so meanwhile it drops down to below 2 metres at low tide, as the range is only about three feet care is needed.

The bank at the entrance to Kilmore Quay has grown during the winter, at springs there is only 1.5 meters at low water so great care needed at low tide.

Cheers,
Dave

Are you referring to the pontoon in the river at Arklow? Don't think I would go into the Marina as it is so tiny with little room for manoeuvre.

If anyone is heading towards Ireland, can I put in a vote for a visit to Glandore Bay (SW of Cork)?  Dropped in there recently.  No pontoons and a tiny shallow harbour but plenty of visitor buoys, and there's a decent floating dock to moor the dinghy.  So quiet and the locals were most welcoming!
