Hi,
I installed a Raymarine EV100 on my H325 and it works very well. The alternative with a Jefa hydraulic drive is at least double the price but not double value IMHO

Hi Jooce.

Your 325 is equipped with a tiller or a steering wheel?

Votre 325 est équipé d'une barre franche ou d'une barre à roue?

On our H320, we are using the Simrad AP24 as follows:
22096267  AP24 Control Unit w/accessories
22097083  AC12 Computer w/15M SimNet Cable
22090195  RC42 Rate Compass w/5M SimNet Cable
SIMKIT-1  SimNet Starter Kit (Pwr Cable w/Term, 5m Cable, 7 Prong Multi, Term, (3) Prot Plugs)
24005852  SimNet Cable 10M (33 feet)
44172096  Dragline with tiller pin for DD15, 200-300mm
21119896  DD15 Drive unit for sailboats 30-45ft
Our experience is very good, the autopilot works very good under difficult conditions. It is working with the windvane on reach legs as well as upwind.
The only thing to improve is the AP24 display - it is vulnerable to water ingress due to a plastic cover on the LCD - the new Triton displays are coming with real glas.

The Evo 9 axis sensor is quite interesting, but I would not go for hydraulics on such a small boat.
I we talk 10 tons+, it is another story.

It is equipped with a stering wheel. The H325 was the successor to the H320, the hull is identical. The EV-100 also integrates well with the other SIMRAD equipment (NSS7, IS20). The only thing that was non-standard was the cabling, I had to do some cutting and wiring since the boat was already equipped with SIMNET and Raymarine uses SeaTalk. But both support NMEA2K.

there is also a smaller drive from Simrad than the DD1 from JEFA. Maybe that could save some money.

I think one big advantage of the factory fitted option with the JEFA DD1 is that the unit works fast.

The Jefa DD1 performs great on a H320, and also gives you the advantage of a 100% hidden installation. However, mine have failed under warranty twice.

I've got a Simrad NSE8 plotter which integrates superbly with the AC12 autopilot - making the AP25 display to spare. All functions are available directly from the plotter screen. I also have a WR20 wireless remote control, allowing control of the autpilot from anywhere in the boat. I have used the pilot setting Genaker, controlling it from the fore-deck singlehanded.

I am very pleased with my choice of Simrad exclusively onboard - they have really given me great onboard electronics which are fully integrated with each other + the Fusion stereo. From the plotter I am also able to download newer firmware onto all of my instruments, including the autopilot.

After I replaced the FC40 fluxgate compass with a RC25 rate-gyro compass this autopilot performs superb both under sail and engine!

I have experienced the wheel auto-pilot and found it noisy.

When we kited out our 320 I also fitted the Jefa DD1 drive  with the AC12 and RC25 compass.

It works extremely well no matter how hard it is blowing.

Like others we have it integrated into the B&G network and if it can be done it is well worth it.

Dear All.
I am finally decided to change the autopilot on my Hanse 320. Please, can you send me pictures of your  autopilote installation?
Thank you in advance.

Louba.

This is an image of the installation of the DD1 Simrad on my Hanse 350. Probably not exactly the same as your Hanse 320, but it might inspire you...
