My wife mentioned that we did not have proper wine glasses aboard. Drinking wine from a mug is not very elegant.

I looked for plastic wine glasses first, but they were all ugly, expensive or too big. I did find some at the dollar store for $2 but they were too big and felt cheap. Instead I bought 6 glass ones, 180 mm high x 85 diameter. The bases were 70 mm across. 

I had the idea to use the space at the top of the wine locker under the dining table. I mde 2 racks out of scrap StarBoard I had at home, and located them as far back in the locker as possible. I left just enough room at the top to get a glass in and out of the rack. The bottles still have room to get in and out.  The pictures tell the story.

I took the table top off to make working in there easier.

Plastic, and if you don't like the size for storage the base unscrews and snaps into the top part...

I think you mean the "other" solution shown above. These (the smallest size) should work:
