Hi,
It's good to look back on season 2007 and here's what I found from one of the regattas. A Bianca 107 lost control just as we where going inside her to the next mark. The wind was about 24 knots and never have our Hanse done a gype and a 360 dgr. turn so fast.  Usch....it was close. And on the second picture the Bianca is still out of control. He lost 7 minutes on that manouevre.

Happy NewYear to all.

/Steen & Anne

These are exciting photos. You seem to have gone out of the picture very quickly. Well done! Did you gybe in front of the Folkboat, by the way? Or are they still sitting firmly in the back of your boat?

Happy New Year to you too, Steen and Anne!

Johan

PS. The rest of the crew says hello too.

Thanks Johan.

No we went starboard and gyped behind the Folkboat. What you can't see is that there is only 30 meters to the mark, but if you look closely you'll notice that we have allready set the jib for going upwind as we hoped to get round the mark on the inside of the Bianca.

Steen, I now realise what I found disconcertant with the photos - it's seeing you sailing downwind without a spinnaker! You are not like us lazy cruising people who would have furled the jib and sailed only by the main.

The spinnaker was taken down, thank God Smile (you'll still see the sheet hangin on port side) We did a bad start, but downwind the Hanse goes like an express train....
