Hi, 531 owners

I can't find the correct gaskets to seal the garage door. Anyone can photograph the layout on his boat and show me the gasket profile? I mess with it for too many years now.
Thanks in advance

Hi   Guys     Cwetto ,Frank,  Itamary     I have had Ballistic since new  2004.  The leaking garage door took many attempts to fix,         In 2006 I finally did it.  I tried about 7 different rubber profiles with no luck  The problem is the difference in the shape of the door moulding to the hull shape.   In some places the rubber is squashed flat where the gap is small, to places where there is no contact with the rubber at all.   I took all the rubber off and placed small pyramids of bees wax placed at about 12inch apart stuck to the boat side along the line the rubber hit.. Then lubricated the inside of the door so the wax would not stick to the door. On closing the door a few times ,you can see the different heights of the pyramids ,and see the vast difference in shape of the two sections.   I then profiled the boat side with a build up of resin to make the gap even all the way around.  This then allows really any gasket shape to work as it is compressed equally around the whole periphery of the door.    It took a long time ,with several wax buildups, but no leaks for 9 years.      I hope this helps Cheers  John   BALLISTIC 531

It looks like throug years Hanse managed to produce doors with even gasket space :) On 540e doors are tight with standard rubber profile :)

Thanks guys.
The beewax idea is great, I have thought of using plastaline.
Seems a tedious task 😣
Cwetto, did you stick the rubber to the door? The frame?
Was it solid or sponge?
Very troubling issue I deal with for the last 5 years 😰

Frame! Much more protected from foot.
More a sponge. I have to replace it every 3-4 years due to dirt. Every year before season apply some silicon treatment to prevent sticking rubber to door.
