I have had my 370 since 2008. No big issues. I am quite happy with the boat apart from the flat fore ship. His causes the boat to slam into waves when going to windward, in particular when going by engine. Experience by other owners?

Agree that all the important bits are similar to most other brands.  The current Selden rigs, FCL sails and B&G instruments are all top quality.
I agree that the cost cutting shows in the interior fit out.  But this does not detract from the usability.  I live aboard my boat for 4 months of the year.
If you want better quality without Scandinavian prices, the Dehler interior looks very stylish.

There will be problems, all production boats (and custom) have issues that need resolving.

You didn't mention your intended usage but if it's coastal cruising in moderate conditions then you should have few issues with the boat. If you are intending to go off shore, do heavy weather sailing, or significant club racing you are going to break things and replace them with heavier duty kit - we're talking blocks, sheaves, winches....  Hanse is a good performing boat, hull and rig are quite robust but the rest of the fitment is built to a price point.

Not trying to deter you, I love my Hanse, but go in with your eyes open by understanding where the weaker points could be.

Cheers

I agree with Steve I have up sized nearly everything on my boat the hardware that comes with anew boat is undersized.  MY dealer was pretty good with handling the little issues that came up we have put 11000 nm on our 370 over the past 11 summers no major breakages.  I also race the hell out of the boat and still it has stood up well.

Hi christianb
You registered here as a new member 1 May, and your last login was 3 May.

In your post you hint, that your homeland is the country of fake news, but the overall impression is, that you are mr. Anonymous himself. You give no personal information at all.

As I have written in a few posts of recent times, some new members seems to be marketing doubts about the sensibility of bying a Hanse, and I have made the remark, that some posts seem to have originated in the office of a competing dealer, jealous of the success of the nearby Hanse-dealer.

What to me seems odd, is that you are comparing Hanse with Dufour and Jeanneau. I wonder if you have studied the price-tags?
In my opinion the only brands with Hanse-comparable prices are Bavaria and Baltic made boats.

You seem quite satisfied with Hanse, only a remark about warranty is in the negative end.

To sum it up, christianb:
11 distinguished members of this forum have choosen to give answers to you.
I shall bide my time until you trust us with some informations of who you are.
In my profile you will not be able to read my creditcard informations, but some basic facts are given. My long membership may also hint that I'm no troll or Bavaria-dealer.

To you christianb, and all members who haven't done so already, give us a little information about basic facts about you and your boat.
(You find "Member Control Panel" at the top left).

I love my Hanse 400e, its from 2007 vintage  hull 199  (same as Rubato) they are built solid, excellent hull lay up, bulk heads tabbed into the hull and deck, giving the boat a solid feel. The Boat sails extremely well, and I can sail the boat single handed with my young family - what's not too love  !
You may get a few niggles , here and there, maybe with joinery, or access -  but I can report nothing major , the shower floor has a poor slope towards the drain  - but I installed a new Gulper drain pump which helps a lot,  and I changed all seacocks to Tru Design last year .
