Hello everyone

I have just bought an Hanse 350 - 2008. And it has no autopilot. And there has never been installed one. I have planned to
install an autopilot this winter, and also change the instruments to new ones.

My plan is to use Jefa/ B&G drive unit, and Raymarine instruments. So i need to rewire the network.

Is there anyone here on the forum that have any tips on how to get the witing through? Expesialy from the mast to the instruments (DC panel). And bavkwords to the rom aft of the aft cabins.

Is there anyone that has any picture of there Jefa/ B&G autopilot installasion? That would help me a lot.

Yours

Hi Snublefoot,

For the installation of an autopilot, you could start and have a look at this link:

Kind regards,

If you have a look at this post https://www.myhanse.com/autopilot-installation-for-350_topic11654.html you will find some general advice and some photographs.

We replaced our instruments with Raymarine after we suffered a lightning strike. We have the two cabin version and pulling the new cables through was not too difficult. Around the base of the mast there are two small headlining panels which come down easily, and there is a duct which runs from there to the top of the electrical panel. If you are lucky there will be a mousing line in place which will enable you to pull the cables through.

Hi again

Quick update on project. I have ordered the electronics, and driver unit. And after a lot of demountin, and searching around the boat, i have found the pathway for the wiring. But most of the wiring are fastend to the boat (fixing strips), and is difficult to remove or replace. It will be a projekt in it self.

I let those cable be and put the new cable aside using ziptie or if it simnet you have, it’s actually NMEA 2k so adapters is also a good option
if the cable to the mast is ok
