Bay Regatta 2023

   We recently took part in the 2023 Bay Regatta in Phang Nga, Thailand which was almost back to pre-covid numbers. There were 16 Mono hulls and 10 Catamarans racing over 4 days around the islands of Phuket, Phang Nga and Krabi. The mono hulls were split into 3 classes, Racing, IRC Cruising and Cruising. Night Train was in IRC Cruising and our good friends Duncan and Gail on their Hanse 575, Gale Force, were in the Cruising class.

There was a normal mixture of no wind and good winds varying between 0 and 10 knots on the first 3 days, but on the last day this increased to 15-25 Knots which made life more interesting!
Details, photos and results can be see on www.bayregatta.com, but I am happy to say that Night Train won IRC Cruising overall, winning all four races.
