Hi,
Currently I am in the process of selling our 2002 Hanse 411 after 13 years. For the sale I need two certificates that I do not have in my possession. Would anyone have them, that would be of tremendous help. The documents wanted are:

As far as I know, but someone more knowledgeable can correct me here, the document is not just a generic one. It needs to have the CIN of the specific boat on it. And usually, these documents are retained by the flag registries, therefore, if you sell the boat to someone who wants to keep the same flag, then the document is not needed because already in the registry. If, on the other hands, the new owner wants to change the flag, s/he needs to ask for the radiation from the registry and, at the same time, also asks to have the declaration of conformity back.
Perhaps in different countries works differently...

We certainly have a boat specific certificate of conformity containing the HIN (U.K. registered) which was supplied to us when we bought the boat from the original owner. I am afraid I don’t recall anything about the other certificate.

Ronald,
in Belgium, just like in the Netherlands I believe, you need the Builder certificate delivered by the dealer ,the Declaration of Conformity with the Craft Identification Number (CIN) and the Declaration of Conformity of the engine to sale your boat. We need al this papers in the 3 national languages  in Belgium.Normaly they are always with the boat     you can ask Hanse and the engine builder for a duplicate. We have had many problems to get the Dutch versions from Hanse, no problem at all by Yanmar Almere Netherlands to get it done.
