I am interested also.  Have you looked at One Sails OneSails Sailmakers | IFS™ Integrated Furling Structure - Integrated Furling Structure™ - Technology | The Next Generation of Sails

I asked for a quote and am waiting to hear back.

I would love to hear any reports of cable-less sails

I race on a 40' with cableless code 0 made by Doyle Sails here in New Zealand. sails sets, furls and performs as well as conventional code 0 and for a race boat has less weight and resistance over cabled code 0, it also packs away smaller.

Downside is life of sail will be shorter than cabled code sail, luff forces are massive typically with 2:1 halyard arrangement and all of these forces are being applied to the fibers of the sail rather than the vectran, dyneema or spectra luff rope.

For Hanse I would personally go with a conventional luff rope.

why should that be the case? Doesn't make sense to me.

the rationale is because the luff is direct to the wind without the cable and the profile is more convex ... is like to have jib with furler or direct to the forestay...

I would say a litlle less upwind without a cable. A dyneema rope can take much more tension than the fibers of the code 0.
Our H315 only races 'round the cans' so it does not need the extra 30 seconds at the finish line. Our code 0 with dyneema rope is three years old now, and we really use it a lot. The only wear and tear is at the leech and was easily repaired this winter. The sail itself lost 3 centimeters at the leech now, but we're off for three years again I hope.
