We still hav no wind so we just moved to another (tall) island just 2M away. We're reading and taking walks on the island. No need for a drone to take the below picture.

It's been five months since Emilia was out sailing but yesterday saw the beginning of the new season. The first leg was just a few hundred meters, just to get through the Liljeholmen bridge. We anchored just off the fairway and spent the night there.

This morning we weighed anchor and sail 6M to another anchorage with a view of the King's castle Drottningholm.
This was the first sail with Emilia's new rudder after she had spent the winter in the water. Usually, after having spent a lot of time in the marina there is a lot of growth on the hull and the rudder and this used to affect the feel in the rudder negatively. This year there was a lot of growth on the rudder as well but the weird feel in the rudder is gone. I am so happy I got a new rudder last year! Johan |

Thanks, Richard! I wish a great sailing season as well.
The night was quiet and the temperature got down to minus one degrees (Celsius) and we woke up to the sound of the boat crashing ice that had built up in the wee hours. At five in the morning it was five degrees in the cabin so I turned the heater on in order to keep the boat warm for breakfast. Johan |

Long weekend in Sweden means that we could go sailing for four days! But already at the first anchorage I fell ill in a cold so now we are looking at spending three days at the same anchorage before we need to head back home. No need to feel sorry for me though. What better way to cure a cold than to spend the time in your bunk?
This is by the way the first time the cats got to try the new cat flap. Being used to a cat flap from home they instantly recognised the flap and started using it. I almost seemed that the enjoyed going back and forth a little extra. And it is a good thing that the door can be kept shut. Johan Leo Vira Edited by Johan Hackman - 20 May 2023 at 15:06 |

Leo and Vira have used the piano stool at home to sharpen their claws. What better idea than to ask the company who made the new upholstery in the main cabin to fix the stool with the same fabric? It was delivered directly to the marina, too.

Lovely looking creatures Johan. I assume Leo and Vira are accessing a cat litter tray in the heads/toilet compartment.
Hope you have a great sailing season. Best wishes Richard
