Hi

Both of the gas struts / gas lifters thats supposed to hold my stairs up, (to service the engine), are defect.
Anyone know how / where to get replacements?

Hi

The last ones I brought was from biltema in 2018 and they are still fine.
You will have to measure the max extended length and also look for how many newtonmeters.
I believe I have 485mm x 450nm for my Hanse 370, but perhaps our boats are not the same here...

Currently I am not near the boat so can't answer.

Perhaps other 320 owners have a better answer

Hi

The question was intended for the 370, to compare the force on the struts. By any chance, do you know of a replacement to the gas struts for the 320? My local dealer has not replied, so I guess I am on my own....

Gassprings are a standard item.
Length and strength is all you need to know.
Mayby there is a label on your current gassprings so you can get the newton?
Length you can meassure.

I will go by the yard tomorrow and dismantle the struts and see if I can find any markings previously overlooked.

Also look at the mounting. Some have only clip-snap mount and some are for a bolt and not, also some combine the two

Btw. When mounting the new gas springs, the container part must be the highest point. If the pushpin is mounted pointing up, then the o-ring does not get lubrication and will dry out and shorten the lifespand.

Update on the struts for the 320;
After dismantling the struts and surfing the net, I found replacements.  The ones I pulled off the boat are made by STOBO and have these data:

Force:                200N
Stroke:              200mm
Total lenght:      450mm
end connection: M6 threads (the ball end connections fits the M6)

Both Lesjøfors (Sweden, Norway) and Sodemann Indsutrifjedre in Denmark have these parts.
Lesjøfors are the more expensive, 1636 Nok inclusive VAT and freight for the pair, Sodemann 957 nok Inclusive Vat and freight, but will get a customs fee on top.
Lesjøfors 18-8 L 453-200-200N pn. 4531
Sodemann: GF-8-200-200
