Thanks Bruce. Spoke with Robert and the one shown for Bling Bling is made in NZ by KZ Marine/Leisurefurl. Just waiting for a reply.

Have a look at the Southern Spars Coast Furl boom, its light weight and doesnt need to have any parts put through the mast, simply a new gooseneck and boom.

Try emailing robert.orr@windcraftservice.com.
A link to their article. Zooming in on the picture doesn't seem to show a brand. Good luck. Bruce

Has anyone fitted a LeisureFurl or similar "in boom furler" to a 415 ?
I am contemplating this however the Leisurefurl drive unit is forward of the mast and I feel that the self tacking jib sheet will snag when tacking.
I can see a 415 on the Windcraft site "Bling Bling" however cannot make out the make of the boom and no response from Windcraft. All comments welcome and if anybody knows the minimum distance between mast and sheet pls let me know, as am yet to get out of lockdown and nowhere the near the boat. Thanks Rod |
