Greeting all.
I am looking for a diagram of the fresh water system for my 341. If possible I could use any first hand knowledge of the bilge system. I was surprised by water in the bilge that appears to be fresh, but clearly my bilge pump is not operating properly. I plan to dig into the system tomorrow and could use any tips available. Ken Haas

The calorifier pressure relief valve is a common source of the problem. If you put in "calorifier" in the advanced search box, "any forums, any date" you will find many threads.
This is where I made some comments. Actually nowadays, when starting the engine etc, we turn off the fresh water pump, run a tap until no more water comes out and then shut the tap. We then just switch the water pump on later when you want some water and leave it on. The pressure increase leakage problem only arises when the water is first being heated. The other area to check is under the starboard saloon seat in front off the fridge compressor, as that is where most of the of pipe connections are, for both the hot and cold water systems. Also, after filling the water tank, we always run a bit of water off to drain the inlet pipe to ensure there is no pressure on the water tank lid, as this can be a source of a problem , if you have not tightened it correctly. |
