seems to be lots of feedback from many owners about stern platform strut issues, does it not make sense to ditch it altogether and use dyneema strops and block and tackle system, KISS principle applies here does it not?

That's what they've put on my Hanse 385 in Croatia, but the lead to the stern isn't good and once the platform is closed any extra dyneema or blocks prevents it being bolted. At present it comes to the winch (they're heavy these platforms) but again the lead to the winch isn't good.
Back to Hanse for a rethink, and while you're at it send us a few spare pistons. KISS principle applies. |
