The US 348 model has a design flaw which incorporates a solenoid and regulator assembly within the gas hatch, not leaving adequate space for a gas bottle. I presume this pertains to US models only and suggest those buyers who might be interested have this matter resolved before purchase. Hanse after-sales has offered no solution.

I bought a 348 this spring (2019) and didn’t know about this issue and Dealer didn’t disclose. Understand that a European butane tank will fit, but not a large enough US propane tank. Can’t believe Hanse doesn’t have a solution for the US market. Anyone find a solution for this?

Enjoy your 348. It's a great boat.
I couldn't find a source for the euro-based kampergaz tank that the boat is designed for. My dealer had to rework the hatch area to include relocating the propane feed line. It now will suit a 5 gal tank( without the guage) which you should be able to find retail. It's a small tank, so I wouldn't be planning on any banquets aboard.
