Hi All,
On our boat there is a swimming platform. It is nice and we find it as a good feature but it is full with water. Theoretically this is a closed construction, but we clearly hear the water moving inside. Do you have any experience like this? How can we repair? THX

If you mean the tilting aft platform mine is ok (I'll check it anyway) .
I think you should find where the water is and drill a hole to drain it. After drying, gelcoat to close the hole.

Yes, it is about tilting aft platform.
Unfortunately, I have not found a hole or crack where the water goes in. I have the same plan. To make some holes, dry out the object during the winter season. I think I will not close those holes, in this way, the water can drain.

May be you check the holes for the screws and the sealant around if the water comes from there?

Thanks, I'll check it, but honestly I do not think that's the neuralgic point. This is the bottom of the object, I can not imagine that so much water can flow in from this side.

Drain, dry and seal all the holes.....salt water flushing inside is no good!
I had to repair the gelcoat in the front part ..It was cracking and probably I woud have had water inside very soon. |
