I completed the purchase of a H320 last week and began work on a few upgrades and recommendations from the surveyor's pre-purchase report in preparation to bringing her up to the Firth of Clyde from the south coast in early spring.

One of the things I forgot to measure up for my next trip down was the gas hoses (diameter 8mm or 10mm?) and regulator size as they need replaced. Any ideas?

Also, I'm replacing an NMEA0183 wired chartplotter with a NMEA2000 plotter at the pedestal. The wiring in the aft lazarette has one or two Simnet cable ends - any idea where these go to? In any event, I'm planning on using a NMEA2000 to Simnet cable down the pedestal and into the lazarette and replace the 3 prong joiner there with a 7 prong joiner and connect it at that point.

Great owners' forum! Implemented a number of tips from the forum including Ikea bed slats in fore and aft cabins.

If you are coming up to Scotland, you may be interested in this approach, which I think is a better option.

We had our gas fittings replaced by

https://www.heatwave.org.uk/Heatwave Plumbing & Heating
25 Bankhouse Avenue
Largs KA30 9PF
Phone: 07773 774937

He did a very thorough job, as I did not fancy changing out all the gas fittings in the yacht.

Stuart from www.gassafemarine.co.uk works along south coast, he would be good option to service the gas system and will replace anything that is required. Top bloke very reliable.

Thanks for the tips. I'm going to replace the tubes and regulator myself and will get it checked over by a professional.
