Hi

I have what seems to be fresh water coming into the center bilge from the port side little vent just behind the last keel bolt.It is not clean and has a little oil in it

Is it possible that it might be coming from the sink.As far as I am aware the sink line is a direct line into the junction box and that is all dry and ok

Any ideas would be appreciated.

It is a very slow seepage into the bilge

Cheers

Is your mast bilge pump working?     If that isn't,  the water from the mast bilge spills over into the other pan areas.  Like this one.  Fresh water is common in the mast bilge.

Mine stopped working and I swapped the one from the main bilge (also a joke) into the mast bilge.  I then put a 3000gph bilge pump into the main bilge.   Worth doing, and much more confident now given the shallow bilges on the boat.

if you have elctric toilets you should check them as well. The inlets have a habit of leaking after a while. larger hoseclamps are advisable..we had that problem with two of our toilets and it took me forever to find out ..

When you say inlets you mean from the raw water intake for the toilets, or do you have fresh water inlets?

I too had water inside the stringers in the center bilge. My 1st assumption was that it was condensation from the hull sides, but 5 - 1ltr was way too much.

By sheer coincidence we found the culprit, it was the plastic 90 deg elbow below the sink in the toilet!

Imho a stupid solution, the pipe executes a constant bending moment on the flange connection to the wash basin.  Be aware that the dia of the flange is different to the standard European sanitary connectors.

Thanks Frank.  In my case it is not the elbow which has failed it is simply the plastic sleeve adaptor which has disengaged (slipped out).  This is a totally arrangement. I'll probably glue and clamp with a hose clip as a get us home solution.  Regards Paul

Had that happen also.  Hanse doesn't offer the part.  This one fit perfectly: Ambassador Marine Hose Barb... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GD8RTL6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
