does anyone know what type of plumbing connector Hanse used on the 415?  I would like to install a 0.5 micron water filter do we can drink water from the water tanks.  If anyone has done this, would love to know what brand filter you used and how/where you installed it.  Thx!

I haven't done it, but would be interested which filter you intend to use.

You may be in warmer climes, but I've never had any concern with drinking from our tanks. I make sure each is flushed through once a season, and run out whatever's in the pipes before drinking it.

Sorry - not much help on your actual question.

We added a Seagull IV filter in the galley for drinking water.  T’d off the existing galley water line and added the filtered water faucet next to the little sink, forward of the existing galley water faucet. Once you remove both drawers below the sink this is a rare job where you actually have enough room to work!

All things from local hardware store plumbing dept & yes, hose clamps.  BTW, I’ve double clamped all the hose connections I could find on the boat, not just the ones below the water line.  Had a cold water feed to the forward head sink come loose a few years ago...pumped about 80 gal into the bilge.

Good idea. I had a joint from the water pump outlet that connects to the white pipe leading aft come apart and deposit nearly all 350 litres of water into the boat before the bilge pump kicked in. Shows how high the pump switch is!
The connection was made with a plain piece of brass pipe with no barbs or swages and hose clamps not fully tightened. I went round every clamp I could find and worryingly many were not that tight some below the water line.
Worth checking.
Cant take a joke, don't buy a boat.
