All, I’m a new Hanse 348 owner. Am already having issues like water sensor (see my previous post) and issue with cabin lights. Wondering what else may come up. Wanted to ask, what are the top 5 issues you all have encountered? Appreciate any insight so I can get ahead of it!

It takes a while to settle in a new boat.  The more complex the systems, the more likely something will go wrong.    Be patient,   keep a running list for the factory / dealer to deal with.    in my case it took 12 months before I felt things had settled in.  My top 5?

1.   B&G electronics (particularly wind)
2.   Tank sensors (the LCD thing at the top of the 12V panel is a joke - I replaced it)
3.   Batteries (my Victron batteries had been substituted with some no-name brand)
4.   Jib halyard swivel (was undersized and needed to be replaced)
5.   Bilge pumps failed.  Were undersized and I replaced them.

Just keep things formal and friendly between you and the dealer/Hanse.  They made good on all the things I pointed out on my 575.

The first two are dangerous. The rest are annoying:

1. Jefa steering system. Wires rust and brake.
2. Volvo MDI box. There is a recall from VOLVO on this.
3. Windlass and anchor bay. Childish windlass (uses grease instead of oil for lubrication) will fail if used frequently. Very bad design of anchor bay. Small and low means less chain can be used and frequent blocking.
4. Water tank sensor. Not accurate and fails.
5. Diesel tank sensor. Sensor is 10cm lower from top of tank so will start showing after more than 60 lt have been used.
