hi all

I have a faulty drop cable (micro c to simnet) from the b&g autopilot control panel which is on the starboard side of the cockpit. I need to replace the drop cable but can’t figure out where it is connected to. The Hanse B&G wiring diagram shows a 7 way simnet connector on the starboard side that the drop cable is plugged into but I can’t locate it. All ideas welcome please?

There is a 7 way simnet connector in the portside cockpit locker but I don’t believe the auto pilot control panel or the starboard triton display are plugged into it. It has 2 backbone cables which I am assuming lead to the mystery simnet connector on the starboard side.

Would also welcome any thoughts on how these cables are routed from the starboard to the port side and how you can access this space?

Many thanks
Phil

I am pretty sure that I connected my nmea2000 engine gateway to a multi-way connection on the starboard side.  I know this gateway is in the void to the aft of the starboard cockpit locker (single aft cabin version) and it is connected to the nmea 2000 network by a 50cm cable.

I suggest you squeeze into this void (or at least get your head in) and have a hunt around.

On the 345 there is a 7 way Simnet behind the Volvo Penta engine control panel on the starboard side.  You may want to check there.

thanks for the suggestions which proved very useful and I have found the 7 way and fixed the problem.

In case anyone else is looking, the 7 way for the starboard side it is very well hidden. You have to climb into the void at the back end of the space under the starboard cockpit locker and outboard as far as you can. It is on outer starboard side of the rope bin near the fuel filler. It has 3 cables going into it and a terminator.
