We recently took part in the 23rd Bay Regatta in Phang Nga, Thailand. There were 20 Mono hulls and 9 Catamarans racing over 4 days around the islands of Phang Nga and Krabi. The mono hulls were split into 4 classes, Racing, Cruising A and B and Bareboat Charter. There was a normal mixture of no wind and good winds varying between 0 and 25 knots.
Previously we had used our Furlstrom downwind, but we bought a 140sq m asymmetrical spinnaker for the occasion and it certainly helped, without too much impact on our handicap.
Details, photos and results can be see on www.bayregatta.com, but I am happy to say that Night Train won Cruising A overall and Venture a Hanse 400 won the bareboat charter class overall.

All the best
Paul

Thanks Frank, I work on the theory that a cooler crew sails faster. Hence the Bimini
