Hi, I'm currently setting up a storm snubber setup for anchoring. My preferred setup is to tie to the midship cleats, run forward along the deck, then through the center of the forward cleats using them like a fairlead.

My main problem is determine if the cleats are strong enough to withstand storm forces. The only information I've been able to find is in the 505 owners' manual. It states:

The cleats arranged on the bow and stern with a breaking load from 4000 daN, which are sufficiently dimensioned to deal with the normal forces in protected ports, are used for mooring.

My questions are:
  1. Is the center cleat mounted as strongly as the bow and stern cleats?
  2. Is 4000 daN (4078kg) sufficiently strong for tying snubber to in storm conditions?
  3. I'm looking for specs of the pop up cleats. Mine are 260mm, and are marked with an "FS" brand. Here is a link, but it doesn't say the brand, model, or any specs. https://hanse.boatoon.com/en/shop/article/26666/cleat-telescope-small
Hope you can help!

Thanks.
