I have seen several posts about this sensor. Mine is now permanently showing empty! I am trying to access it through the mounting on the tank but I cannot remove it. Am I missing something simple? Any suggestions as to how I can remove it to get at the sensor?

Hi Colin.
I don't think that it is welded to the flange of the tank. If I am not mistaken it ws screwed into the tank, with some strange thread diameter. Therefore I decided to leave it and make a new hole with a standard sensor flange close to the inspection lid.

Thanks Frank
Much appreciated. Reassuring that you also found it a strange attachment. It looks odd! Thanks too, for your suggested fix. It certainly must be more convenient to be located closer to the inspection hatch. I will look to buying a better quality sensor. Colin |

The watersensor on my Hanse also never worked correctly, even after replacing the sensor, cabling, as well as the control panel while everything still was under warranty. I finally replaced it with a capacitive sensor from SCAD, with similar performance. It has worked well for the last 3+ years.

I replaced with an allpa 10 to 180 Ohm sensor. 30 Euro from saarwebstore. Length ist about 400mm. Old sensor is screwed in. Just use a wrench. I drilled a hole diretly where the old sensor was placed. I did it that way becaus I am sure that i would never use the old rubbish again. The wiring in the panel was a challenge. User manual was not very helpful. You need to shortcut 0 and 100 % connections on the panel and connect the new to wires on the additional water tank connection on th panel. 2nd plug from top if you look inside. Hope it helps. I needed 6 month to get behind it. Edited by Käpt´n Nuß - 18 August 2021 at 08:08 |
